Platonic soulmates are like, I was made to stand by your side, see, I fit perfectly right here or I would die for you and you know that but this time I have to help you hold yourself accountable, or I can look at you and you can look at me and it’s a whole conversation, or you don’t have to be my blood to be my family, your not my sibling, not because we aren’t close but because I chose you and I will continue to choose you, or wow, what a dumbass… oh shit that’s my dumbass, I’ll save you!, or maybe just I love you
Has anyone else noticed that as a society, we’re shamed for wanting to sleep? Sleeping in is bad, naps are only okay if they’re 20 minutes, you cant be tired unless you’re a <insert career/lifestyle choice here>, so on and so forth.
I mean, I think we all need to spread our blankets out, cuddle a pillow, and go to sleep. Everyone needs more of it, fuck this “it’s not productive” nonsense. It’s okay to sleep, it’s okay to want to sleep. You’re not lazy because of it.
I HATE how crunch and sleep deprivation and “pushing through” physical/mental ailments are so fucking pushed (even lauded!) in places like med school. like you can NOT tell me it doesn’t fuck up how doctors act towards patients with chronic pain or sleep issues or exhaustion and the like. because THEY survived on 4-hours of sleep and worked themselves through migraines or anxiety attacks or chest pains or the flu or whatever else (and those that didn’t manage to do so were forcefully weeded out over the six years of schooling). so the fact that YOU can’t Just Deal With It means you’re just not trying hard enough, why should they show any sympathy to you dealing with these issues that aren’t issues, they’re just you being lazy.
